Dangan Ronpa

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Coming to Steam in February

Japanese visual novel Danganronpa is finally coming to Steam next month, and it's in English! If you're keeping track, that's the original for the PSP in 2010, the iOS and Android ports in 2012, then the Vita port in Japan in 2013, then the Vita port in North America in February 2014. But those versions don't have what this new version will: Steam trading cards.

The sequel is coming to Steam as well, though there's no date announced for that one.

Cities Skylines

Cities: Skylines Getting Winter-Themed Expansion Snowfall

Cities: Skylines, the popular city building game from last year, is getting a new expansion. This expansion—titled Snowfall—will add a whole bunch of winter-specific problems, like snow plows and home heating infrastructure. There's also trams! If you don't want to pay for the expansion, don't worry. The game's still getting a weather system in a free update, which adds rain and fog. For free!

Yandere Simulator Banned From Twitch

If you haven't heard of Yandere Simulator yet, it might surprise you to hear that it's been banned from Twitch. If you have heard of it... well, it probably won't surprise you that much. Twitch doesn't say exactly what part of the game they have a problem with, but it probably has something to do with the panty shots of underage girls or the semi-nude underage girls or the gratuitous violence. Probably one of those.

FNAF World

Five Nights at Freddy's World Is Out Already

Last week, I reported that Five Nights at Freddy's World was coming out February 19th. I also said that this means that the game would be coming out somewhere between February 1st and February 16th, as is Scott Cawthon's style. Well, it turns out I overestimated: the game actually came out on January 22nd. If the movie comes around and it's not released several months before the announced release date, I'll be disappointed.

Sleep In A Cave For Far Cry Primal

Ever wanted to sleep in a cave? Well, now's your chance! Ubisoft is holding a competition for Far Cry Primal in which you will sleep in a cave for a night. In winter. Yay! If you win, you'll be transported to an undisclosed location in France, where you'll get to spend one night in a cave in winter. Sounds like a party! You'll also get five meals not exceeding twenty five euros (what, do you think they're made of money?) as well as a night in a hotel.

Microsoft Announces Minecraft: Education Edition

Educational video games still exist, apparently, and Microsoft is trying to get farther into the market with Minecraft: Education Edition. This version of Minecraft will cost $5 per account per year, and it'll have extra education-specific options. So what will kids be learning in this educational Minecraft? I can't help you with that, sorry.

Saints Row

Cancelled Saints Row PSP Game Found In Volition Storage Room

Did you know there was a Saints Row game in development for the PSP? You probably didn't. Most people at Volition didn't know it either. But some random guy at Volition found the game on a PSP dev kit in a storage room, and now he's going to be streaming it next week on Twitch. The game—Saints Row: Undercover—started out as a port of Saints Row 2 to the PSP. After realizing that this actually wasn't possible, they started working on something that looks kind of like Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. But Volition decided that it was terrible, and then they forgot about it—until now! Lucky you!
