Fan Favorite Character Doors Killed Off in Five Night at Freddy's 2 Trailer

Fans of night shift security guard simulation games rejoice as new details emerge about the sequel to the point-and-click horror game, Five Nights at Freddy's. If you're a purveyor of YouTube channels where people scream a lot at things appearing suddenly on their screen, you've probably heard of it. It's a game where you play as a security guard working the night shift at a Chuck E. Cheese ripoff. You must fend off attacks from animatronic animals come to life as you try to comply with the manager's wishes to use as little power as possible. Today, a sequel to the popular game was announced. It's the same name as the original, but with the digit '2' at the end.

Instead of playing Mike, the security guard from the previous game, you get to play as Yet Unnamed Security Guard. You might be wondering what could possibly be added to a point-and-click horror game where you sit in one room and look at cameras until 6am. And the answer is: basically everything. Here's what we know so far:

  • The game will feature the previous characters both as redesigned versions of themselves and as decommissioned husks of their former selves. There may also be more characters, possibly including a horrible puppet man. This unfortunately (or fortunately, if you're in to that) will probably increase the pornography possibilities.

  • No doors. Possible DLC?

  • You get a Freddy Fazbear helmet. You can wear it when dastardly animatronic animals attempt to set up shop in your office. They'll think you're one of them, assume the office has been claimed, and leave. Robots are stupid.

  • Animatronic chicken 'Chica' returns with a new design. Images can be seen in the trailer of an edgier, "sexier" Chica. I mean, if animatronic birds are your thing. I won't judge.

  • No accurate percentage of the battery life is given; just bars of a battery. This may be an attempt to market the game to areas with low literacy rates.

  • Blurry, computer-enhanced photos show a pink version of Foxy. Female Foxy? Take note, fans of lewd furry art.

No release date has been announced, but I've heard 2015 thrown around.
